No one has noticed how most of the “projects” of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) can’t be scaled. In short, it’s only good for PR and projection. If Robredo really is a servant-leader as she claims, the strategies her staff thinks of should be scaleable. In this case, her office only focuses on Malabon.
Look at how the Opposition are making it appear like the pandemic response of the government is fatally flawed. The case numbers are up but which country hasn’t experienced a surge? The hospital system has run out of capacity because of the lack of focus on healthcare by previous administrations. Never mind that it was Duterte who was instrumental in getting the universal healthcare bill passed. Whoever saw the pandemic was forthcoming? It’s a black swan event.
If one is to be objective, why is there no criticism of Robredo’s projects which are not scaleable? The spin is the OVP is the little office that could. I’d like to see an OVP project that is scaleable at the national level. There are hypocrites on both sides of the political fence. Let’s call a spade a spade but we have to be pragmatic about political realities. You don’t solve a problem if you don’t address the root cause.
