The Works Health Organisation (WHO) gave the Philippines a thumbs up with regard to its handling of the novel coronavirus outbreak. WHO Philippines Representative Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe reportedly expressed satisfaction with the Philippine government response to the “evolving situation” in a recently-issued statement.
“I believe that the Philippine government has been responding to an evolving situation. As I mentioned, this is a new situation, an evolving situation, and with the emergence of disease and the emergence of more information, the government response has been proactively strengthened,” he said.
“We are satisfied so far with the measures implemented by the government of the Philippines. And we are continuing to work with them to increase their preparedness in case there are further importations or there is evidence of local transmission.”
This contradicts the Philippine Opposition assertion that the Philippine government hadn’t been competently responding to the unfolding crisis. Indeed, such was the shrill uninformed response of the Yellowtard-led Philippine Opposition that they even went as far as inciting xenophobia against people of Chinese background prompting some learning institutions to shut out its Chinese student community.
Opposition “thought leaders”, as expected, wasted no time to demonise the government of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and launched hashtag campaigns in the hope of inciting the traditional mass protests they use to seize power illegally.

It is evident that the Philippine Opposition, specially the bloc within it loyal to the Aquino-Cojuangco feudal clan (the Yellowtards) are not to be trusted. They have a singular agenda that frames their every movement. It is best that people refer to the statements of qualified authorities for the right information specially in crises like these.
