A photo making the rounds on the Net shows Senator Grace Poe and her mom Susan Roces together with ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak in what looks like a social gathering.
This further highlights the whole problem with the recently-concluded Senate “inquiry” into issues surrounding the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN which Poe led. She is too close to the powers that be of the giant media conglomerate. Rights to her father’s film archive, FPJ Productions and Film Archive Inc., are owned by ABS-CBN which acquired these in 2013.
As expected, the “inquiry” which, beyond not much else, gave ABS-CBN a stage on which to issue an emotional appeal to the Filipino public yielded no results nor hinted at any outcome “in aid of legislation”.
The plot thickens.
