There’s really no need for Leni Robredo, supposedly no less than the Philippines’ presumptive “vice president”, to be making a photo opportunity out of every so-called “service” she delivers to Filipinos. In this latest instance, she uses relief goods meant for evacuees fleeing the aftermath of this week’s Taal volcano eruption to score PR points
Robredo should have learnt by now that photo ops done in a tone-deaf manner don’t do her any service. In fact, botched PR jobs like these only degrade her political brand further.
Her running mate in the 2016 elections, failed presidential candidate Mar Roxas, is a textbook case of failed PR campaigns many of which are marked by lame attempts to make him look like he is in solidarity with the masses.
Robredo should get herself a new public relations team. They’ve failed her many times and continue to fail her. Better yet, the Opposition as a whole should rethink their habitual deference to Yellowtards like Robredo for leadership and pave the way for their “cause” to evolve and put this dysfunctional community of dishonest people behind them.
