Poor Yellowtard “activists”. They reckon they’d “protest” the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping this week. Twitter users among them are even changing their profile avatars to images of Winnie the Pooh as an act of solidarity with their comrades in virtue signalling.
Thing is, the Chinese invasion of the Philippines has long been a foregone conclusion. Much of Philippine industry is controlled by an ethnic Chinese elite minority. Native Filipinos do their part in the national economy by sending family members overseas to earn enough dollars to buy the delectable goodies sold by these Chinese-owned businesses.
These “activists” should rethink their moronic activism. They fail to realise that the power to bring the Chinese oligarchy to its knees is to simply stop being such suckers for clever marketing and rein in their narcissistic consumerism.
It is worth noting that most of those Twitter snowflakes who are chiming into this quaint anti-China circus are, themselves, “influencers” who hawk shiny Made-in-China stuff to their legions of followers. It’s hypocrisy if these bozos actually understand what they are really doing. Unfortunately they probably don’t. So it’s really more a case of being a bunch of mere idiots.
